• Wear eye, ear and gloves protection; use appropriate cutting fluid to control heat and assist chip removal.
• Ensure the magnet or base is firmly clamped to a flat work surface; confirm workpiece stability and use a tether if drilling overhead or on angled surfaces.
• Do not use hammer or impact mode; feed steadily and allow the slug to eject naturally. If feed slows or chatter begins, stop and clear chips immediately.
• Disconnect power or disable magnet before changing cutters, pilot pins or shanks.
