P150 is an intermediate grit intended for smoothing and refining surfaces rather than heavy stock removal or final polishing.
For the best finish, progress through the required grit sequence without making excessively large jumps between grit sizes.
The extraction holes must be aligned with the sanding pad to obtain the full benefit of the MULTI-JETSTREAM 2 system.
Effective extraction reduces loose sanding dust, helps prevent clogging and improves visibility of the workpiece.
The abrasive is particularly useful for professional painters and varnishers working with modern coating systems.
Disc life will vary according to the material, applied pressure, machine speed, extraction efficiency and condition of the workpiece.
Store unused abrasive discs flat in a clean, dry location to protect the backing and abrasive surface from moisture or contamination.

Allow the sander and abrasive to do the work. Excessive downward pressure creates heat, reduces extraction efficiency and can shorten disc life.
Align every extraction opening carefully when attaching the disc to the sanding pad.
Use a compatible Festool dust extractor and an anti-static hose where specified for the machine and application.
Keep the sanding pad flat on the surface and use smooth, overlapping passes to produce an even scratch pattern.
Vacuum or wipe the surface between grit stages so that loose coarse particles cannot create deeper scratches.
When sanding an unfamiliar coating or plastic, test the abrasive and machine-speed setting on an inconspicuous area first.
Replace the abrasive when it stops cutting efficiently, becomes heavily loaded or develops damaged edges.
Use a suitable interface pad when sanding profiles, curves or delicate surfaces, provided it is approved for the machine and application.
For final preparation, continue from P150 to the finer grit recommended by the coating or finish manufacturer.

Disconnect the sander from the power supply or remove its battery pack before fitting the abrasive.

Select P150 only when it matches the required sanding stage and intended surface finish.

Press the abrasive firmly and evenly onto the StickFix surface to secure it across the entire pad.
Connect a suitable dust extractor and confirm that the hose and extraction openings are unobstructed.
Set the sander to an appropriate speed for the material, coating and sanding operation.
Place the sander flat on the workpiece, start the machine and guide it using steady, overlapping passes.
Avoid tilting the machine or applying excessive pressure, as this may cause uneven sanding and premature abrasive wear.
Inspect the surface regularly and stop sanding once the required scratch pattern and level of preparation have been achieved.
Switch off the machine and wait for it to stop completely before lifting it from the workpiece.
Remove a worn disc by lifting it carefully from the edge, then clean the sanding pad before fitting the next abrasive.
