Allows users to make straight and precise cuts when carrying out horizontal work on floors or work surfaces, as well as for applications on walls. Easy to secure of different surfaces using the adhesive pads. It is easy and practical to transport two guide rails since they can be inserted above the Systainers carrying handle. The FS/2-KP guide rail is available in lengths of 1400 mm and 1900 mm.

The FS 1900/2-KP is part of the Festool FS/2-KP guide rail system with adhesive pad positioning.
Adhesive pads are fitted into the guide rail cut-outs, then pressed onto the surface to help secure the rail.
The adhesive pads are designed to be removable from suitable surfaces without leaving unwanted residue.
The integrated splinterguard should be trimmed by the saw blade before first use for the most accurate cut line.
The rail can be used with compatible Festool saws, routers and guide rail accessories.
Use compatible guide rail connectors when joining two guide rails for longer cuts.

Pro Tips

Before first use, trim the splinterguard with the intended saw blade so the rubber edge lines up perfectly with the cut line.
For vertical or awkward cuts, clean the surface first so the adhesive pads can grip properly.
When cutting delicate boards, place the splinterguard directly on the marked cut line to help reduce chipping.
Use clamps where possible on rough or dusty surfaces where adhesive pads may not grip properly.
When joining guide rails, align both rails carefully before tightening the connectors to avoid a small step at the joint.

How to Use

Check that the work surface is clean, stable and suitable for the adhesive pad system.
Install the adhesive pad into the guide rail cut-out where required.
Align the guide rail splinterguard edge with the intended cut line.
Press the adhesive pad firmly onto the surface to secure the guide rail.
Fit the compatible Festool tool onto the guide rail and check that it runs smoothly.
Make sure the machine guidance is correctly adjusted with no unnecessary side play.
Connect suitable dust extraction where applicable.
Make the cut using steady forward movement and controlled pressure.
After the cut, remove the adhesive pad carefully from the work surface.
Store the guide rail safely to protect the splinterguard edge from damage.

Safety

Check that adhesive pads are properly attached and suitable for the surface before use.
Use additional clamps where required, especially on dusty, uneven or unsuitable surfaces.
Keep hands clear of the cutting path and never reach underneath the workpiece during cutting.
Make sure the workpiece is properly supported to prevent movement, tipping or blade pinch.
