The new KAPEX KS 60 dispenses with everything not needed for the job – such as every unnecessary gram of weight. With impressive features such as ergonomically positioned carrying handles, cord holder and transport safety device and an extremely compact design thanks to flush-mounted guide rods, this device makes no compromises in terms of precision and versatility – with a mitre angle on both sides of up to 60 degrees and an inclination angle on both sides of up to 46 or 47 degrees. The Festool twin-column guide with two bearings ensures that the saw blade is guided reliably and smoothly. A range of other clever details such as the LED spotlight, the pull-out extension table, the additional groove function and the bevel help to make the KAPEX KS 60 a perfect combination of mobility, versatility and optimum results.

Extra Information

The KS 60 E is part of Festool&s KAPEX sliding compound mitre saw range.
This base version includes the saw blade, FSZ 120 fastening clamp and hex key.
The SL-KS 60 spotlight is available separately if cut-line shadow visibility is required.
The SM-KS bevel is available separately for measuring interior and exterior angles and transferring them directly to the saw.
Compatible Festool underframes and trimming attachments are available separately for improved support of longer workpieces.
The pull-out extension table helps support longer material directly on the machine.
For best dust control, connect the saw to a suitable Festool mobile dust extractor using the 27/36 mm extraction connection.

Use the correct Festool saw blade for the material being cut to improve finish quality and reduce tear-out.
Connect a suitable Festool dust extractor to keep the cut line clearer and reduce dust on indoor installation jobs.
Support long workpieces properly with additional supports, an underframe or trimming attachments to prevent material dipping during the cut.
Use the cutting depth limiter for controlled groove cuts and partial-depth applications.
For skirting and cornice work, consider adding the SM-KS bevel accessory for faster angle transfer.
Keep the supplied hex key in its storage position so blade changes are quicker and less frustrating on site.

How to Use

Place the saw on a stable, level work surface or suitable Festool stand.
Fit the correct saw blade for the material and check that it is securely installed.
Connect a suitable dust extractor to the 27/36 mm extraction connection.
Select the required mitre angle, bevel angle or cutting depth setting for the application.
Position the workpiece firmly against the fence and use the extension table or extra support for longer material.
Clamp or support the workpiece properly before cutting.
Start the saw and allow the blade to reach the selected speed before entering the material.
Cut with a controlled, steady motion and keep hands safely away from the blade path.
Allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw head fully or removing offcuts.
After use, clean the cutting area, secure the machine and use the transport safety device before moving it.
